Impatience is such a curious emotion. We want the next day to arrive now in the hope that we will get what we are seeking, even though we privately know that there´s no guarantee that things will ever turn out the way we desire. Impatience is about wanting validation long before you have any idea whether it will be granted. By showing your hand too quickly -by letting it be known you are already si smitten- you risk rejection. You have to demonstrate interest, but not zealotry. You have to excercise patience.
But patience is something we can lose easily because we don´t want to play any role. Reality is what it is, and you either take it as it hits you or you walk away pretending it never crossed your way. But passion and impatience can create an emotions timebomb when put together. You cannot turn around and pretend nothing is happening, because you want it to happen, you even dream about it and feel it belongs to you, it's your destiny... And even knowing no guarantees are given, you are willing to jump into that void and take the risk. It is you being driven by your passion and desire. That same desire that makes you undress him/her with a look, to share a smile of complicity like a secret code that's not secret to anyone but obvious to everyone... But mostly wanting that person to wake up next to you even without even knowing it...
